by Ruth, a.k.a. Momma Frizzle
Thanks to Mother Goose, we have a new story category – Flights of Fancy – where you’ll find creative writing posts and imaginative short stories.
Until now, most stories on Frizzle Chicks have been real-life reflections and completely accurate accounts that happened exactly the way they’re written. Ambassador Hen is the only Frizzle with a penchant for exaggeration. The rest of us are purely objective journalist chicks.
But, Mother Goose’s innovative Portas de Portugal story series has broadened my perspective and got this Frizzle Momma dreaming and scheming. Here’s what I’m thinking – Flights of Fancy is a great place to publish your creative short stories too.
Here are the super simple guidelines:
1. Story must be 500 words or less.
2. Submission should include one photo (high resolution, if possible).
3. Story will be edited for grammar, spelling, and clarity.
4. Keep it clean.
5. Kids are welcome to submit well-written stories.
Hopefully, this invitation excites you too! When you are ready to take a creative flight of fancy and share it on Frizzle Chicks, email your story to email@example.com. Put “Flight of Fancy story” in the subject line so I can spot it easily. There’s no deadline. If you send in good stories, I’ll publish them.
Happy creative writing!
